Deputies search for driver of vehicle who left scene of crash.

LOGAN TOWNSHIP — Deputies from the Mason County Sheriff’s Office are searching for the driver of a vehicle that was involved in a two vehicle crash this afternoon at the corner of Hawley and Campbell roads. The crash occurred about 4:15 p.m. when a GMC Sierra truck, driven by an Illinois man, was heading east on Hawley Road and was attempting to turn north onto U.S. Federal Forest Road 6389, directly north of Campbell Road. A white Buick Rendezvous was also heading eastbound and apparently attempted to pass the truck, according to deputies on scene. The two vehicles collided.

One person sustained minor injuries following the crash. Medical first responders from Carr Community Fire Department said they were assessing the driver of the truck and the three passengers of the Rendezvous when the driver of the Rendezvous walked off the scene.

He is described as a 23-year-old white male wearing a blue and white t-shirt and may be heading toward Walhalla. Anyone who sees someone who fits that description is asked to contact 911. The man is wanted on a previous arrest warrant. Deputies said his passengers were cooperative.

Custer Fire Department and Life EMS also responded.
