Smith & Eddy to host Medicare educational event.

LUDINGTON — Smith & Eddy Insurance will host a Medicare educational event on Monday, Sept. 20 at 2 p.m. at the Ludington Senior Center, 308 S. Rowe St.

Jim Hart, senior sales representative from Priority Health will share his knowledge on Medicare and Medicare Advantages, Part D Presciption coverage and Medicare supplements.

After the presentation there will be time for questions and answers.

The 2021 enrollment begins on October 15, 2021, therefore there will not be any enrollment at the time of the program, it is strictly an educational seminar to broaden your awareness of all the available plans.

Hart will explain many of the extra benefits included in Medicare Advantage plans, such as dental, vision, hearing coverage, Silver Sneaker, over the counter benefits and many other option.

Bob Calley, from the Area Agency on Aging will be in attendance as well explaining how Medicaid works with Medicare.
