Prayer & Praise to honor first responders, teachers at 10 Spot.
PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — On Wednesday, July 28, Prayer & Praise Assembly of God Church, along with the 10 Spot, are holding a thank you event for Mason County first responders and educators. People who work in emergency services and education are invited to stop at the 10 Spot food trucks, 5750 W. US 10, near Nelson Road, and get a complimentary meal.
“This is just a small way for us to say thank you for everything our first responders and teachers do for our community,” said Henrik Lidman, senior pastor at Prayer & Praise. “The men and women who work in these fields sacrifice time away from their own families to assure our community is safe and our children are educated.”
Lidman said medical professionals, law enforcement personnel, firefighters, and teachers can stop by the 10 Spot from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be a “Thank You Tent” where they can show their identification and receive “Thank You Bucks” to be used at the food trucks. Games and a bounce house, along with musical entertainment will also be provided.
“Our desire is to give the first responders and teachers, along with their families, an evening of blessing and honor, a small token of our appreciation,” Lidman, who is also Mason County Sheriff’s Office chaplain, said. “We would also like to thank our sponsors who have helped make this possible.”
