VIDEO: Around the County: Scottville Swimming Lessons.
Around the County is a presentation of Preferred Credit Union, www.preferredcu.org, located locally at 266 N. Jebavy Dr., Ludington.
SCOTTVILLE — Swimming lessons began this morning, July 12, at the Riverside Park swimming pool. In April, the city announced that it would offer lessons to kids ages 5 and older. The classes are being offered by instructor Tess Hallead-Versluis. There are three two-week sessions being offered. Classes are closed to new registrations.
Hallead-Versluis said she was approached in the spring by Scottville Police Chief Matt Murphy (who was also serving as acting city manager at the time) about starting a program in Scottville.
