79th District Court sentencings and dismissals, posted April 8, 2021.

LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in Mason County’s 79th District Court:
-Marjorie Ann Anderson, 69, of 619 E. Melendy St., Ludington, pleaded guilty April 6 to second offense operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI) and was sentenced to 32 days in jail with credit for two days served; one year discretionary jail for two years; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol; must attend AA two times per week for two years; subject to random PBTs; must attend substance use disorder program; vehicle must be immobilized; and $1,095 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State (SOS). A charge of transporting an open intoxicant in a motor vehicle was dismissed.
-Brenda Marie Smith, 45, of 926 E. Tinkham Ave., Apt. 305, Ludington, pleaded no contest April 6 to domestic violence and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must continue current counseling program; and $535 in fines/costs.
Dismissals
-William Kenneth Wheaton, no age listed, of 911 N. Emily St., Apt. 3, Ludington, had a charge of second offense driving while license suspended dismissed on April 1.
-Joshua Daniel Hellman, 36, of 2590 Michigan St., Free Soil, had a charge of failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance) dismissed on April 6 after pleading guilty to a civil infraction.
-Dominique Marie Thorne, 25, of 4800 Cambria Rd., Hillsdale, had a charge of failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance) dismissed on April 6 after pleading guilty to a civil infraction.
