Sue Brown named Michigan Professional Photographer of the Year, again. 

AMBER TOWNSHIP — Sue Brown, of Photography by Sue Brown, received several awards on Sat March 6, 2021 at the Professional Photographers of Michigan (PPM) annual convention. Brown was recognized as the 2021 Michigan Photographer of the Year by the PPM. She has been awarded the honor in recognition of her superior photographic competence demonstrated through photographic competition. 

The title Michigan Photographer of the Year is annually bestowed on a photographer by a panel of certified judges from across the United States; these judges select the top photographs at the PPM convention. This is the second time Brown has been named Photographer of the Year by the PPM. Additionally, she received awards for the top photograph in the Portrait Division,  with the perfect score of 100 which was the highest scoring print entered into the competition. She  was also recognized with awards for several other images entered into the competition. 

The Professional Photographers of Michigan is dedicated to the supporting, and the development of photographers throughout Michigan. 

“It was an honor to be recognized as the Photographer of the Year again as well as receiving the all the other awards,” Brown said. “The quality of work displayed each year by the other photographers at the PPM annual convention is always so inspiring and pushes me to be a better photographer, to be recognized by your peers is in this way is very gratifying.”

The photographic art pieces Sue Brown submitted will now continue on to be judged at the annual International Print Competition held in Atlanta, Ga. in August which is sponsored by the Professional Photographers of America.
