Circuit court sentencings, posted March 13, 2021.
LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in Mason County’s 51st Circuit Court.
– Zachary Thomas Lefler, 29 of 4104 65th St., Holland, Mich., was found guilty on Feb. 23, 2021 for operating a vehicle while license suspended and operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, second offense. Charges of OUIL third offense and open container of alcohol were dismissed. He was sentenced to serve 12 months in jail. The case has been transferred to sobriety court.
– Nicholas James Piehl, 26, of 3331 W. Jones Lake Road, Grayling, was found guilty on Jan. 8, 2021 for two counts of assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer. Another charge of assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer, fourth offense, was dismissed. He was sentenced to one year discretionary jail, serving four days up front with credit for two days served.
– Miles David-Isaiah Roberts, 29, of 184 N. Gordon Road, Amber Township, was found guilty on Jan. 26, 2021 for OUIL third offense. A charge of operating a vehicle with license suspended was dismissed. He was sentenced to one year discretionary jail, serving one month up front and credit for 29 days served.
