Victory Twp. man arraigned for breaking into cars.

LUDINGTON — Andrew Michael Desmarais, 32, of 99 W. Ivan St., Victory Township, was arraigned Wednesday in 79th District Court on three misdemeanor charges of breaking into a vehicle to steal property.

Desmarais was arrested Tuesday, Dec. 15, about 5:30 p.m. in Scottville by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office and Scottville Police Department following an investigation into three separate vehicle break-ins that occurred in Scottville.

According to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole, Scottville Police Officer Katrina Skinner located Desmarais who was using the Scottville Clown Band Shell as a shelter. There, several items were recovered.

Bail was set at 10% of $2,500. Desmarais has been ordered to stay away from the band shell property and is scheduled to appear in court for a pre-trial hearing on Jan. 4, 2021 at 10:15 a.m.
