79th District Court sentencings, posted Oct. 7, 2020.

LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in Mason County’s 79th District Court:
-William Robert Kline, 41, homeless, pleaded no contest Sept. 30 to larceny and was sentenced to 25 days in jail with credit for 25 days served; one year discretionary jail for two years; must have substance use evaluation; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana/controlled substances; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; and $745 in fines/costs. A charge of second offense habitual offender was dismissed.
-Dorothy Louise McCartney, 60, of 145 Natasha Dr., Noblesville, Indiana, pleaded guilty Sept. 30 to second offense operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI) and transporting an open intoxicant in a motor vehicle. She was sentenced to 30 days in jail; one year discretionary jail for two years; must have substance use evaluation; no drugs/alcohol; must attend AA two times per week; subject to random PBTs; and $225 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State (SOS).
-Ronny Warren Bentz, 67, of 204 Fourth St., Ludington, pleaded guilty Sept. 29 to larceny less than $200 and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana/controlled substances; must have substance use evaluation; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; and $609 in fines/costs/restitution. May perform 70 hours of community service in lieu of paying fines/costs. A charge of controlled substance use (schedule 5 or LSD) was dismissed.
-Julie Ann Prachar, 48, of 807 S. Madison St., Apt. 2, Ludington, pleaded guilty Sept. 29 to disorderly person jostling and was sentenced to four days in jail with credit for four days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; must have substance use evaluation; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana/controlled substances; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; and $285 in fines/costs.
-Kimberly Rae Nelson, 44, of 109 N. Delia St., Apt. 1, Ludington, pleaded guilty Sept. 29 to third degree retail fraud and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year and $595 in fines/costs. May perform 60 hours of community service in lieu of paying fines/costs.
-Bobby Gene Shirey, 37, of 1153 W. Hawley Rd., Riverton Township, pleaded guilty Sept. 22 to disorderly person jostling and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; must have a substance use evaluation and domestic violence evaluation; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; subject to random PBTs and $285 in fines/costs.
