Drug charges top recent arraignments

LUDINGTON — The following were recently arraigned in Mason County’s 79th District Court:
Felonies
-Jordan Thomas Wieand, 20, of 3846 Maple Dr., Wellston, was arrested Aug. 21 by the Ludington Police Department (LPD) on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine/ecstasy). Probable cause hearing: Sept. 2 at 3:45 p.m. Bail: $10,000 cash.
-Chad Douglas Long, 29, of 3265 One Mile Rd., Sears, was arrested Aug. 22 by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) on a felony charge of carrying a concealed weapon. Probable cause hearing: Sept. 2 at 3:30 p.m. Bail: $10,000 cash.
-Brandon James Mitchell, 29, of 511 N. James St., Ludington, was arrested Aug. 23 by MCSO on a felony charge of carrying a concealed weapon. Probable cause hearing: Sept. 2 at 4 p.m. Bail: $7,500/10 percent.
-Floyd Jerome Straley, 70, of 6162 N. Loggers Ln., Hamlin Township, was arrested Aug. 22 by the LPD on a felony charge of aggravated stalking. Probable cause hearing: Sept. 9 at 1:15 p.m. Bail: $5,000/10 percent.
Misdemeanors
-James Leon Reterstoff, 44, of 123 W. Broadway Ave., Scottville; Feb. 24; Scottville Police Department (SPD); fourth degree child abuse. Pretrial: TBD. Bail: $500 cash.
-Blake Thomas Alvesteffer, 23, of 102 S. Main St., Apt. 4, Scottville; July 12; Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO); larceny between $200-$1,000. Pretrial: TBD. Bail: $2,500 personal recognizance.
-Randy Alan Jones, 55, of 1025 N. Rath Ave., Ludington; Aug. 24; LPD; driving while license suspended (DWLS). Pretrial: Sept. 14 at 1:45 p.m. Bail: $2,500 personal recognizance.
-Brian Douglas Mann, 28, of 1320 N. LaSalle Rd., Amber Township; Aug. 23; Michigan State Police (MSP); second offense operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI). Pretrial: Sept. 21 at 2:15 p.m. Bail: $2,500 personal recognizance.
