1 injured in Custer village crash.
CUSTER — A two vehicle crash at the intersection of Main and First streets resulted in one person being transported to the hospital Friday morning. The crash occurred about 8:30 a.m. when a Ford F-150 pick-up, driven by a 69-year-old Scottville man, was traveling east on First Street and failed to yield the right-of-way to a Chrysler Town and Country mini-van, driven by a 68-year-old Bitely man. The mini-van was southbound on Main Street. The crash caused the pickup truck to flip over on its side and the mini van to veer off into the yard of the home located on the southeast corner of the intersection. The driver of the pickup was uninjured. The driver of the minivan was transported to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The pickup driver was ticketed for failure to yield.
Responding emergency units included Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Custer Fire Department, and Life EMS.
