Grand Rapids man charged with home invasion.

LUDINGTON — A 28-year-old Grand Rapids man was recently arraigned on a charge of home invasion – first degree, in relation to an incident that took place in 2019 in Scottville. Devonne Curtis Robertson, 28, of 3 Knapp St., Grand Rapids, faces up to 20 years in prison following his June 8.
According to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole, deputies responded to a robbery and stabbing incident in the 400 block of West Third Street in Scottville at 2:33 a.m. on Dec. 13, 2019. “Upon arrival deputies found a 25-year-old Baldwin man had sustained a stab wound to the arm,” Cole said. “Through the investigation, Robertson was identified as the suspect. On Jan. 18, 2020, MCSO detectives swore to a four count felony warrant for him.” The warrant included home invasion, assault with intent to do great bodily harm, assault with a dangerous weapon and aggravated assault.
Robertson’s bail was set at $50,000 cash surety. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for 2 p.m. on June 17, 2020.
Robertson has a criminal record in Mason County. In October 2016, he pleaded guilty in 51st Circuit Court to larceny from a building and was sentenced to 180 days in jail with credit for 24 days already served.
