LUDINGTON- Sleep often gets in the way for Deb Borema. There are so many things she wants to do! Deb started a knitting and crocheting group at the Mitten Bar in Ludington, Knittin’ at the Mitten.

The group sometimes collaborates on charity projects such as the Ugly Shorts Auction benefiting Sandcastles Children’s Museum. Deb serves on the board of directors for Sandcastles and facilitates kids crafts a few times a month. Rock painting is a crowd favorite.

Every week (when life is normal) you can find Deb at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts where she instructs Workshop Wednesday for kids ages 4-17. Students come right from school and have a snack while creating something new each week.

From puppets to pom poms to machine sewing, Deb introduces a variety of projects to young minds. Recently Deb expanded her sewing projects to adults and is enjoying working with a new demographic. She is currently creating videos and take-home kits available for her kid and adult craft projects through the Ludington Center for the Arts.
