US 31 resurfacing will close highway for several weeks.
Resurfacing work on US 31 between US 10 and Sugar Grove Road will begin on June 1. The $2.4 million project consists of 3.74 miles of asphalt resurfacing, drainage improvements, and pavement markings. The project will be completed in three phases.
- Phase 1: June 1 through June 14, one lane of traffic will be maintained on US-31 from US-10 to Sugar Grove with flagging.
- Phase 2: June 14 through mid-July, US-31 will be closed between US-10 and Main Street/Scottville Road. Traffic will be detoured south on Main Street in Scottville to US-10.
- Phase 3: Mid-July through mid-August, US-31 will be closed between US-10 and Sugar Grove Rd. Traffic will be detoured west on Sugar Grove Road to Stiles Road south to US-10.
Project completion is scheduled for mid to late August.
