The Makers: Omage Coffee Roasters.

The Makers is a presentation of Preferred Credit Union.

LUDINGTON- Tom Hinman and his wife Bethany know good coffee. Inspired by his late father-in-law, Bob Wrasse, Tom started roasting his own coffee on a cast iron skillet. His passion for coffee and interest in roasting grew his garage hobby into a retail business, Omage Coffee Roasters.

He now roasts at the Starving Artist Brewery using a drum roaster and purchases high quality coffee beans to make his artisanal roasts. Tom recommends investing in a burr grinder as a way to have a better home cup of coffee.

You can purchase Omage whole bean roasted coffees through Little Red Organics online farmers market (littleredorganics.com) at The Market at US 10/31 and Stiles Road in Amber Township, at The Evergreen in downtown Ludington, at Starving Artist Brewery on South Stiles Road in Amber Township, and through Omage Coffee Roasters’ Facebook page (facebook.com/omagecoffee). Enjoy a cup of Omage coffee in downtown Ludington at Humani-Tea and Ludington Bay Brewery.
