3 teens caught breaking into Camp Sauble.

FREE SOIL TOWNSHIP — Three teens allegedly broke into the Camp Sauble old Prison Saturday, April 25, shortly around 12:25 a.m., said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.
“Following the investigation, a 14-year-old male and a 16-year-old male from out of county were petitioned to juvenile court and a 17-year-old Manistee male will be forwarded to the Mason County Prosecutor’s Office following a reported break-in at the haunted prison.”
The former state prison, located at the intersection of Free Soil and Reek roads, is used for the Free Soil/Meade Fire Department Halloween fundraising event, Cages of Carnage. It is owned by Free Soil Township.
