Governor shutting down bars, restaurants.
LANSING — Gov. Gretchen Whitmer will order all bars and restaurants in Michigan to shut down dine-in services as a response to the COVID-19 coronavirus threat. The governor is expected to announce later today that the temporary shut down will go into effect at 3 p.m. today.
The executive order given by the governor today includes the closure of the following:
- Restaurants/coffee houses/cafes
- Bars/Taverns/Brew pubs
- Cigar bars
- Theaters
- Libraries
- Museums
- Fitness centers and gymnasiums
- Casinos
- Places of public amusement such as bowling alleys
- Golf courses or private clubs
