LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in Mason County’s 79th District Court:
-Brooke Kristine Malliett, 34, of 4940 N. Jebavy Dr., Hamlin Township, pleaded guilty Feb. 11 to OWIL and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; must complete alcohol highway safety education; and $895 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.
-Brian Alan Kucks, 48, of 17668 14th Ave., Spring Lake, pleaded guilty Feb. 11 to operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor (OWIL) and was sentenced to 31 days in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; must attend victim’s impact panel; must attend the TRUST counseling program; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; must obtain Soberlink for six months; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; must complete alcohol highway safety education; and $1,095 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State (SOS). Charges of refusing a preliminary breath test and transporting an open intoxicant were dismissed.
-Roberto Teran, 41, of 105 Fifth St., Apt. 3, Ludington, pleaded guilty Feb. 11 to operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI) and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; must obtain Soberlink for six months; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; must complete alcohol highway safety education; and $1,170 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS. A charge of operating with a high blood alcohol content was dismissed.
-Doris Mae Carter, 34, of 5354 S. Morton Rd., Riverton Township, pleaded guilty Feb. 4 to OWIL and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; must attend the DUI2 education class; and $895 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.
-Christian William Clark, 22, of 89 S. Stephens Rd., Branch Township, pleaded guilty Feb. 4 to OWIL and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; must attend the SBIRT program; and $895 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.
-Jason Joel Farmer, 31, of 5834 Sixth St., Pere Marquette Township, pleaded guilty Feb. 11 to disorderly drunk person and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; must seek and maintain employment; must have a substance use evaluation; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; must attend AA two times per week; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; and $385 in fines/costs.
-Duston James Horn, 25, of 6954 N. US 10, Branch Township, pleaded no contest Feb. 11 to larceny less than $200 and was sentenced to 28 days in jail with credit for 28 days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; $10 in restitution; and $595 in fines/costs.
-Dayton Mathew Budreau, 19, of 7095 W. Decker Rd., Hamlin Township, pleaded guilty Feb. 4 to second degree home invasion and was sentenced to 18 days in jail with credit for 18 days served; one year discretionary jail for one year; $13.32 in restitution; and $125 in fines/costs.
-River Aiden Young, 17, of 1125 S. Amber Rd., Amber Township, pleaded guilty Feb. 11 to aggravated assault and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; one year discretionary jail for one year; no contact with the victim; must attend school with no unexcused absences or tardies; subject to 8 p.m. curfew until the end of the school year; must continue current counseling program; and $815 in fines/costs. May perform 57 hours of community service in lieu of paying fines/costs.
-Chassidy Ann Nichols, 32, of 615 W. US 10, Amber Township, pleaded guilty Feb. 11 to third degree retail fraud and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and $645 in fines/costs.
-Lorraine Mary Hill, 42, of 413 E. Dowland St., Ludington, pleaded guilty Feb. 4 to third degree retail fraud and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; $49.11 in restitution; and $595 in fines/costs.
-Emily Teresa Guy, 65, of 1883 16th St., Baldwin, pleaded guilty Feb. 4 to third degree retail fraud and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year; $24.13 in restitution and $125 in fines/costs.
-David Cameron McKendrick, 54, of 1101 S. Madison St., Ludington, pleaded guilty Feb. 4 to third degree retail fraud and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; and $595 in fines/costs.
-Kristy Lee Purple, 48, of 1165 Pineway, Ludington, pleaded no contests Feb. 11 to disorderly person jostling and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; must have an anger management evaluation; no contact with the victim; may not enter or be near St. Simon’s Bargain Center; and $285 in fines/costs. Charges of assault and battery were dismissed.
-Jarrell Christopher Justin Bryant, 34, of 114 S. State St., Apt. 201, Scottville, pleaded no contest Feb. 11 to indecent exposure and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; one year discretionary jail for two years; no contact with the victim; and $1,065 in fines/costs. A charge of false pretenses was dismissed.
-Robert Leslie Dewey, 44, of 3925 N. Stiles Rd., Victory Township, pleaded guilty Feb. 11 to two counts of attempted assault/resisting/obstructing police and was sentenced to three days in jail with credit for three days served; one year discretionary jail for two years; must obtain Soberlink for five months; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; must continue current counseling program; and $645 in fines/costs.
