LUDINGTON — Timothy Hansen, 59, of Ludington was arraigned today in 79th District Court after he was arrested Sunday evening for operating with a high blood alcohol content (BAC) and fleeing and eluding police. Hansen allegedly drove the wrong way on US 31 and fled from police, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.’
Hansen was arrested “following several 911 calls reporting a vehicle driving northbound in the southbound lanes of the US 31 freeway,” Cole said. “A deputy spotted the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop but the vehicle reportedly refused to stop. The deputy chased the suspect northbound into Amber Township — about two miles — before the vehicle lost control and ran into the median.”
Bond was set at $10,000 cash/surety.
