The Makers: Applefest!

The Makers Series is a semi-monthly series brought to you by Preferred Credit Union.

LUDINGTON — Preparations are underway for next week’s St. Simon Applefest. The event takes a lot of volunteers. For the past two weeks crews have been working at Ludington Area Catholic School getting desserts ready. Applefest is a major fundraiser for the school and parish. It takes place Saturday, Oct. 5. Dinner will be served from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with activities beginning at 9 a.m. This year’s event will include an arts and crafts show.

“Maker” the word according to Merriam-Webster means, “one who makes” and according to Urban Dictionary, “those who love to create things in their spare time.”
