Ludington couple arrested on felony drug charges.
PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — Two Ludington residents have recently been arrested on drug charges. On May 28, 2019, Thomas Robinson, 38, and Shirmeka Robinson, 34 were arrested in Pere Marquette Township by SSCENT (State Sheriffs Chiefs Enforcement of Narcotics Team) detectives, Mason County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Ludington Police Department officers, following a traffic stop.
Robinson, the driver, has been charged with one count of the delivery of heroin (with a second or subsequent offense notice) and one count of maintaining a drug house. He was also charged as a habitual offender, fourth
offense. Shirmeka, the passenger in the vehicle, was charged with two counts of delivery of cocaine. The arrests were the results of a SSCENT investigation that began in late 2018 and early 2019.
Both suspects were lodged in the Mason County Jail at the conclusion of the traffic stop. Robinson remains in custody on a $25,000 cash or surety bond. Shirmeka Robinson was given a personal recognizance bond on May 30, 2019.
