Obituary: John Riley, 74, Fountain.

John Joseph Riley, 74, of Fountain, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2019.  

John was born on August 15, 1944 in Detroit, the son of John and Esther (Olds) Riley.  He graduated from Lowery High School in Dearborn in 1962. John enjoyed his trips to Florida and Arizona, and day trips to the Little River Casino.  He was a devoted father who kept his family active with all of their outdoor activities; canoe trips, hunting, and riding ATVs. For the last 20 years, John owned and operated the Rendezvous Bar in Walhalla.  There he built friendships with everyone who walked through the door.

John is survived by his mother, Esther Riley; children, Christine Learst, John Riley II, Joseph Riley, and Angelyn Riley; grandchildren, Jason, Jennifer and Julie Learst; great grandson,Caiden Barney; siblings, Carol Targosz, Louis Riley, Thomas (Sharon) Riley, and Donald (Lisa) Riley; 5 nieces; 3 nephews; and way too many friends to list!

John was preceded in death by his father, John Riley and brother-in-law, John Targosz.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. at Oak Grove Funeral Home of Ludington, with visitation starting at 1:30 p.m.  Rev. Daniel DePew will preside. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Association.
