Obituary: Ruth Wilbur, 75, Fountain.

Ruth Ann Wilbur, 75, of Fountain passed away Friday, March 22, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born June 1, 1943 in Eaton Rapids to Ira and Myrtle (Hoffman) Scott. Ruth received her GED from West Shore Community College. She worked for Mason County Fruit Packers for over 10 years. Ruth was a strong and independent woman who worked and raised six children on her own. She was a member of the Bachelor Church. She enjoyed crafting and she had picked up wreath making after her job at Floracraft.

Ruth’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her life. There was nothing she enjoyed more than spending time with them.

She will be greatly missed by her six children, Jeffrey Wilbur of Fountain, Daniel Wilbur of Fountain, Gregory (Christine) Wilbur of Manistee, Lisa (Allen) Eichmeier of Fountain, Paul (Trudi) Wilbur of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisc., and Anthony (Brenda) Wilbur of Fountain; her 12 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Gretchen Scott; and many nieces and nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and seven siblings.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services planned at this time.

Memorial contributions in Ruth’s name may be directed to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
