Obituary: Karen S. Brandon, 69, of Ludington

Karen S. Brandon, 69, of Ludington passed away Monday, February 25, 2019. She was born October 7, 1949 in Ludington to Theodore and Jacqueline (Lemire) Gadziemski. Karen graduated from Ludington High School in 1967. She worked for Carrom Co. for over 20 years. Karen married the late James Brandon in 2009.

Karen was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the First Church of Christ Science where she served as treasurer. She enjoyed walking especially at the state park. She also loved photography and she had a few of her photos on 7&4 News. Karen enjoyed volunteering and has helped many senior citizens.

Karen is survived by her sons, Steven Samuels of Big Rapids and Jeff (Shelly) Samuels of Erlanger Ky.; her siblings, Judy (Terry) Taylor and Theodore (Theresa) Gadziemski; her nieces, Leigh and Jennifer; and her nephew, Robert.

Besides her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her husband Jim in 2014.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services planned at this time.
