Obituary: Norma Jean (Penland) Dorman Souers, 75, of Ludington

Norma Jean (Penland) Dorman Souers, 75, of Ludington passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018. She was born May 25, 1943 in Three Oaks, Mich. to Ralph and Violet (Anderson) Penland.  

Norma worked many places, but she retired from Baywood where she worked in the kitchen.  In her spare time, she enjoyed playing bingo and reading, especially Steven King and James Patterson.

Norma is survived by her children, Adam (Terri) Dorman, Troy (Lisa Williams) Dorman, Matthew (Tammy Cole) Dorman, and Shauna (Francisco Rojo Trejo) Souers; her sisters, Carol Christopher, Mary Ellen Colyer, and Doris Anthony; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her brothers, Ralph (Sonny) Penland and Roy Penland, and her daughter Jacqueline Faye Dorman.

According to her wishes cremation has taken place and there are no services being planned at this time.
