Obituary: Frederick Kaiser, 76, Custer.

Frederick Ralph Kaiser, 76, of Custer passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at his home. He was born June 26, 1942 in Chicago to George and Alvira (Tottleben) Kaiser. Fred graduated from Blue Island Community High School. After school, Fred served his country in the U.S. Army.  On May 27, 1972 he married the late Susan Carson, together they raised three children. Fred worked for FSC Paper Company in Alsip, IL until his retirement when he and the family moved to their vacation home in Custer. Fred was a member of the Landmark Masonic Lodge in Lansing, Ill. In his spare time, Fred loved to fish and watch TV.

He is survived by his children, Laura Tranovich of Custer, Jennifer (Thomas) Burk of Walhalla, and Jeffrey (Jessica) Kaiser of Walhalla; his grandchildren, Katherine, Michael Cody, Emily, Kaitlynn, Madison, and Riley; his great granddaughter, Savanna-Lynn, his sister, Karen (Gary) Goodridge; and his brothers, Jim Kaiser, John Kaiser, and Jerry Kaiser; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his wife in 2016.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services being planned at this time.

Memorial contributions in Fred’s name may be directed to the Parkinson’s Research Foundation.
