Obituary: Ethan Bernard Carie, 7 days old.

Ethan Bernard Carie passed away peacefully at home in his parent’s arms, with his sisters, Jacqueline and Alexandra, by his side, Thursday, December 20, 2018. Ethan was born December 13, 2018 in Grand Rapids to Carl and Stephanie (Cooper) Carie II.

Our beautiful Ethan was such a brave, strong, and amazing baby. Our hearts are broken but we were extremely blessed with the amount of time we had with him. We never put him down; we gave him all the love and kisses our hearts could give.  Jacqueline would sing him songs and Alexandra would give him lots of kisses. We know that his heart is better now that he is in Jesus’s arms. All our love Ethan, our beautiful baby boy.

Ethan is survived by his parents; his sisters, Jacqueline and Alexandra; his grandparents, Carl (Penny) Carie Sr., Elizabeth Adkins, Michael Cooper, and Lorrie Meduna; his great grandparents, Jacqueline Cooper and Fred (Kathy Tibbets) Meduna; his uncles, Scott (Rachel Frey) Cooper, Stephen Cooper; his aunts, Nicole (Lance) Bisson and Robyn (Nick Engelbrink) Carie; his cousins, Nicholas Engelbrink III, Landon Meek, and Lucas Bisson.

Ethan was preceded in death by his grandfather, William Adkins; his great-grandparents, George Cooper, Eleanor Carie, Robert Carie, and Bonnie Roop.

We will celebrate Ethan’s life on Saturday, January 5, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Oak Grove Funeral Home in Ludington. Family will greet friends starting at 10 a.m.

Memorial contributions in Ethan’s name may be directed to his sisters’ college fund.
