Scottville woman accused of embezzling $22,000 from convenience store.

GRANT TOWNSHIP – A 56-year-old Scottville woman faces up to 10 years in prison for allegedly embezzling $22,000 from her employer, Ertie’s Forest Trail Marathon convenience store on north US 31 near Free Soil.
Judith Desiree Sannes, of 301 W. 4th St., was arrested in Scottville on a warrant by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office Saturday, Dec. 15, at 10:30 a.m. and charged with embezzlement $20,000-$50,000, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole. Sannes, who has been arraigned in 79th District Court, is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary exam Jan. 2 at 11:15 a.m. Her bail was set at $5,000/10 percent.
The investigation began in June of 2017, Cole said.
