Obituary: Lyman “Bob” Tiedeman, 79, Las Vegas, formerly of Ludington.
Lyman Robert “Bob” Tiedeman, 79, of Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of St. Joseph and Ludington, passed away Friday, November 23, 2018 at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas, NV. He was born February 6, 1939 in Ludington to Lyman and Eunice (Jacobson) Tiedeman.
Bob graduated from Ludington High School in 1957. He enlisted in the Army National Guard and served his country for six years. Bob attended Ferris State College where he received his B.S. in Business Administration and Accounting. He married Dalela Andrews on May 26, 1967 at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Big Rapids. Bob worked for Whirlpool Corp. as a Trade Strategy Manager for 31 years.
Bob was a member of the Kiwanis Club in Clyde, Ohio. He enjoyed golf, gardening, and spending time with family. He was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather.
Bob will be greatly missed by the love of his life, his wife of 51 years, Dalela; his children, Darcy (Sandy) Tiedeman of Las Vegas and Danielle (Mark) Fike of Flagstaff, Ariz., his grandsons, Lucas and Garrett of Las Vegas, Nev.; his sisters, Sherri (Ken) Zickus of Virginia Beach, Va., and Marge Dankert of Kokomo, Ind.; and his brother, Gary (Pam) Tiedeman of Kokomo, Ind.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
A Funeral will be held Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Oak Grove Funeral Home in Ludington. Family will greet friends beginning at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions in Bob’s name may be directed to the American Heart Association or the Brain Trauma Foundation.
