“Pentwater Police Department began the investigation and immediately began working with school officials to review security camera video taken overnight. The tapes revealed one white male subject with a beard, driving what appeared to be a Ford Escape, firing a weapon in the direction of the damaged doors.

“The images were released through social media with a request for assistance in identifying the suspect. Soon after, Pentwater police began receiving tips as to the identity of the suspect.

“Pentwater police and the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office had been in communication since the investigation began and investigated the tip. The tip helped investigators identify the suspect, suspect car, and ultimately make an arrest.
