Hospital to hold Veterans Day ceremony.
LUDINGTON — Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital will hold a Veterans Day observance ceremony on Monday, Nov. 12 at 11 a.m. at the flagpole near the main entrance to the hospital to honor all men and women who have served in the U.S. military.
The Ludington Hospital Veterans Day observance will include remarks by Randy Kelley, hospital president, and Fred Reader, an EMT with Life EMS and an EMT/firefighter with Pere Marquette Township Fire Department. Reader, an Army veteran, received the Purple Heart for injuries sustained in Afghanistan in August 2012.
The American flag will be raised by Ed Makowicki, pharmacist and Navy veteran, and Michael Flippen, registered nurse and Marine veteran.
The National Anthem will be sung by Kaley Petersen, director of foundation and community services.
The ceremony is open to the public.
