Obituary: Ruth Campbell, 90, Ludington.

Ruth Francis Campbell (Kotecki), 90, of Ludington, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018.

Ruth was born on November 2, 1927 in Chicago, the daughter of Peter and Anna Weston.  She attended high school in Scottville and was later employed by Anaconda Wire and Cable Company in Muskegon, General Telephone Company, Star Watch Case Company, and Gibbs Country House in Ludington.  In August of 1946, Ruth married the late Jerome Kotecki at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Custer. She was wed to the late Eugene Campbell in 1995.

Ruth was a member of St. Simon Church in Ludington.  She was also part of a local sewing club where she enjoyed knitting and crafts.  She loved antique cars and owned a 1927 Buick Touring Sedan, which she entered in many car shows.  She also loved to travel and be a part of many local events. Ruth had a love for music and dance and also played the piano and accordion.

Ruth is survived by her sons, Jerry (Candy) Kotecki of Ludington and Greg (Cheryl) Kotecki of Jenison; grandchildren, Todd Kotecki, Jacqueline Connerney, Weston Kotecki, Ryan Kotecki; great-grandchildren, Nick (Sarah) Kotecki, Alex Kotecki, Angela Kotecki, Austin Kotecki, Stella Connerney, Sophia Connerney; and her sister, Josephine (Weston) Sapinski.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Kotecki; husband, Eugene Campbell, and sister Marie (Weston) Wein.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Oak Grove Funeral Home of Ludington.  Visitation will begin at noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan, Ludington.
