Obituary: Melinda ‘Mickie’ Landis, 56, Reed City.

Melinda “Mickie” Landis, 56, of Reed City, passed away Friday, October 19, 2018. She was born February 21, 1962 in Alma to William and Patricia (Morgan) Bowman.

Mickie worked in the healthcare field for many years. Most recently, she had been working for the Grand Oaks Nursing Home in Baldwin. She had a big heart and she was always taking care of someone. In her spare time, she loved woodworking, sewing, or volunteering.

She will be greatly missed by her husband, Tim Landis, whom she married on April 4, 2004 in Hawkins; her children, Jesse and Nova Lemire; her step-children, Chad, Heidi, and Katie; her 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; her two brothers; and five sisters.

A celebration of life will be held at Victory Baptist Church, 4353 N. Stiles Rd., Scottville MI 49454 from 11 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2018. A potluck luncheon will follow the service. The family invites everyone to bring a dish to pass.

Memorial contributions in Mickie’s name may be directed to the Victory Baptist Church or  the Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital Susan P. Wheatlake Cancer Center.
