LUDINGTON – A 20-year-old Baldwin man was sentenced to serve six months up front of a one-year discretionary jail term Tuesday, Sept. 25, in 51st Circuit Court for a conviction of felonious assault.
Earl Walter-Brandon Curtice, of 3095 W. Stag Rd., pleaded “no contest” Aug. 13.
No injuries occurred in the assault, said Curtice’s attorney, Douglas Stevenson. “He understands what he did. It was a pretty silly thing that he did.”
“I would just like to apologize for my actions on May 8,” Curtice said. “I’ve had a lot of time to think about it.”
Sentencing guidelines in the case are 0-17 months.
The judge also ordered probation for 18 months. Curtice received credit for 141 days served in jail.
