Elderly women, teen injured in two-car crash.

PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP – A 90-year-old Ludington woman, an 88-year-old Ludington woman and a 17-year-old Scottville woman were injured in a two-car crash Thursday, Sept. 13, shortly after 3 p.m. on Pere Marquette Highway south of US 10, according to Mason Sheriff Kim Cole.

The crash occurred when a 2013 Chrysler driven by the 90-year-old Ludington woman attempted a left turn into the Dairy Queen parking lot and turned into the path of a northbound 2006 GMC Yukon, driven by the 17-year-old Scottville woman, Cole said.

Both drivers, along with the 88-year-old Ludington woman who was the passenger in the Chrysler, received injuries in the crash. None of the injuries appear to be life threatening, Cole said.

Other activity of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018 includes:

– 5:19 a.m., alarm activation, 3000 block of West US 10, Amber Township.

– 5:20 a.m., one-vehicle hit-and-run crash, no injury, Countyline Road east of Maple Road, Grant Township. The case remains under investigation.

– 4:03 p.m., a 21-year-old Free Soil woman was arrested for driving while license suspended following a traffic stop, Conrad and Meyers roads, Pere Marquette Township.

– 7:45 p.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Pere Marquette Highway and Iris Road, Pere Marquette Township.
