Obituary: Bernard Kusebuski, 89, Ludington.
Bernard Leo Kusebuski, 89, of Ludington, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018.
Bernard was born on December 26, 1928 in Muskegon, the only child of Michael and Mildred (Young) Kusebuski. Bernard was a Sergeant First Class in the United States Army, stationed in England during the Korean War. While there, he met his bride-to-be, Evelyn Jean Coles. They were married on December 18, 1952. Bernard retired from PCA in Manistee after 36 years of dedicated service.
Bernard enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening, fishing, and hunting. He was an excellent father and a loyal Detroit Tigers fan (no matter what!).
Bernard is survived by his wife, Jean Kusebuski; children, Michael (Pamela) Kusebuski, Sandra (George) Karl, and David Kusebuski; grandchildren, Amanda (Jeremy) Overmyer, Tammy (James) Moore, Andrew (Nicole) Kusebuski, Derek (Christy) Karl, Drew Karl, and Sara (Ryan) Karl-Lusardi; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be held on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Simon Catholic Church, with The Rev. Wayne B. Wheeler Jr. presiding. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lakeshore Resource Center.
