LUDINGTON — A female pedestrian was seriously injured Wednesday evening, Aug. 29, 2018, after being struck by a westbound car at the intersection of Ludington Avenue and Atkinson Drive, in front of Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital on the eastern city limits. The crash occurred about 9:45 p.m. According to sheriff’s deputies on scene, the woman was transported by ambulance to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital and then later to a Muskegon trauma center.

Responding to the scene were Ludington Police Department, Ludington Fire Department, Mason County Sheriff’s Office, and Life EMS.
