#WorldRecordAttempt.
LUDINGTON — Ludington’s third and fourth attempts at setting world records fell short Saturday morning. The attempt to form the Guinness Records world’s longest consecutive line of bicycles includes about 1,000 bicyclists but fell short of the record set in Dhaka, Bangladesh in December 2016 with 1,186 bicycles. The second attempt, was longest static line of bicycles. While about 1,300 bicyclists parked their bikes, touching tires, along Gaylord Avenue, they did not meet the record of 1,448 bicycles, set in Berlin, Germany in May 2015.
In June 2016, House of Flavors Restaurants set the record for world’s longest frozen dessert. Later that year the record was broken by an ice cream shop in Nashville, Michigan. In 2017, Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital set the record for most sand angels.
The Love Ludington weekend continues today with the dedication of the carferry exhibit at the Port of Ludington Maritime Museum.
