Scottville man arrested for assault by strangulation, domestic assault.

SHERIDAN TOWNSHIP — A 29-year-old Scottville man was arrested by Mason County sheriff’s deputies Sunday, Jan. 28, at 1:55 a.m. on a felony charge of assault by strangulation and a misdemeanor charge of domestic assault in the 2000 block of 34th Street, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

Friday, Jan. 26, 2018:
– 7:18 a.m., car/deer crash, no injuries, Pere Marquette Highway and First Street, Pere Marquette Township.
– 6:10 p.m., car/deer crash, no injuries, Jebavy Drive north of Fisher Road, Hamlin Township.
Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018:
– 1:54 a.m., alarm activation, 2000 block of West US 10, Amber Township.
– 3:38 p.m., warrant arrest, northbound US 31 freeway near the Pere Marquette Highway exit, Pere Marquette Township. A 24-year-old Ludington woman was arrested following a traffic stop
on an outstanding failure to appear warrant on an original charge of fraud issued in Muskegon County.
– 5:46 p.m., damaged property — a garage window was broken, 5000 block of Johnson Road, Pere Marquette Township.
– 9:35 p.m., two-vehicle crash, no injuries, Brye Road and US 10, Amber Township.
Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018:
– 1:18 p.m., damaged property — lawn decorations, Hazelwood Drive, Pere Marquette Township.
– 7:22 p.m., a 24-year-old Manistee man was arrested for second-offense driving while license suspended following a traffic stop, US 31 and Beyer Road, Victory Township.
– 10:14 p.m., a 17-year-old Ludington woman was cited following a traffic stop for no operator’s license — never applied, US 10 and Nelson Road, Pere Marquette Township.
