Deputy captures fleeing suspect.

PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — A 55-year-old Ludington man who allegedly fled into the woods was chased down by a Mason County sheriff’s deputy and was arrested following a 911 call reporting domestic violence in the 5600 block of West Johnson Road Saturday shortly after 5 p.m., said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.
The suspect faces a felony charge of resisting and opposing a police officer.
“When the deputy pulled up to the residence, the suspect fled on foot into the woods,” Cole said. “He was chased down by the deputy and arrested.”

A vehicle driven by an 81-year-old Hart woman attempted a left turn from US 10 onto the southbound US 31 freeway. In doing so, she struck a bicycle being operated by a 47-year-old Scottville man. He was treated at Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
– 7:21 p.m., (MCSO), operating while intoxicated (OWI) arrest, Reek Road near Millerton Road, Sherman Township. A 45-year-old Scottville woman was arrested following a one-vehicle crash involving no injuries.
