Fountain man arrested for poaching, stealing trail cams.

SHERMAN TOWNSHIP — A 19-year-old Fountain man was arrested by Michigan State Police troopers from the Hart post Tuesday, Oct. 31, at 8:34 p.m. on charges of poaching and larceny of trail cams in the 6000 block of North Custer Road, according to Sgt. Charles Hockanson.
Other police activity Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017 includes:
– 5:23 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injuries, US 10 and Larsen Road, Branch Township.
– 6:30 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, Scottville and Meisenheimer roads, Riverton Township.
– 8 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, Carr and Chauvez roads, Eden Township.
– 8:01 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, Sugar Grove and Custer roads, Sherman Township.
– 1:34 p.m., (MCSO), assault, 143 North Jebavy Drive, Pere Marquette Township. Deputies were dispatched to a “fight in progress” call and upon arrival found one person with injuries to her face reportedly as a result of being assaulted, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole. Through the investigation, a 20-year-old Scottville woman and 25-year-old Scottville man were both arrested on charges of assault. Both remain lodged in the Mason County Jail.
– 1:40 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), assault, 300 block of South Rowe Street, City of Ludington.
– 2:27 p.m,. (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injuries, US 10 and Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township.
– 2:57 p.m,. (LPD), larceny, 300 block of West Ludington Avenue, City of Ludington.
– 8:08 p.m., (LPD), civil dispute over vehicle, 700 block of East Fifth Street, City of Ludington. (This incident was initially called in as a stolen vehicle.)
– 9:16 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, Pere Marquette Highway and Chauvez Road, Pere Marquette Township.
