Obituary: Louis Duperron, 70, Free Soil.
Louis J. Duperron, 70, of Free Soil, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born March 16, 1947 to Louie and Anna (Leeball) Duperron.
Louis married Sheila Kay McClure on January 6, 1973 in Ludington.
He owned and operated a gas station in Benzonia for several years, but the majority of his career was in heating and cooling.
Louis was a kind and giving man; his doors were always open to family, friends and those in need. He lived life to it’s fullest. When not at work you could find him hunting, fishing, or in his workshop fixing things that were beyond repair. He will be greatly missed.
He leaves behind his wife of 44 years, Sheila; three daughters: Kelly (Garvin) Yack, Katherine (Mark) Hollenbeck, and Karla Rasmussen; five grandchildren: Destin, Austin, Kierra, Paige, and Brianna, along with several siblings, nieces, and nephews. Louis also leaves behind his SPOILED black lap cat, Boo Boo.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 11 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Ludington with a small luncheon to follow.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Oak Grove Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Ludington.
