Obituary: Warren “Curly” Jaarda, 70, Branch. 

Warren “Curly” Jaarda, 70, of Branch and formerly of Holland, died Wednesday, October 11, 2017, with family by his side after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

He graduated from Holland High School in 1965 and married Ruth Dekker in 1966. He was a machinist at Haworth, Inc. for 23 years. Warren and Ruth moved to Branch in 2001, where Warren enjoyed his love of hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ruth; son, Darren (Anna) Jaarda; daughter, Nicole Jaarda (Corey) Berkimer; grandchildren: Easton and Abigail Jaarda, Tyler and Emily Berkimer; and sister Mary Lou Maas.

A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, October 15 at Dykstra Funeral Home, Mulder Chapel, 188 W. 32nd St. from 3 to 6 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan (Northwest).
