PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — A 25-year-old Fountain man and a 19-year-old Ludington man were injured after the 1993 Chevrolet GMT-400 pickup they were traveling in collided with a 1990 Kentworth semi trailer Saturday, Sept. 9, at 12:53 p.m. at the intersection of US 10 and Pere Marquette Highway, according to an accident report from the Mason County Sheriff’s Office.

The pickup truck, which was driven by the 25-year-old Fountain man, was turning south (left) onto Pere Marquette Highway from westbound US 10, the report states. The pickup truck driver told police he turned on a yellow light.

The semi driver, a 55-year-old Custer man, was eastbound on US 10 and entered the intersection on a green light, the report states.

The pickup truck pulled into the path of the semi, and pickup driver failed to yield, according to the report.

The semi truck driver was not injured. The report states that the men in the pickup truck were injured, but they were not hospitalized.

All three men involved in the crash were wearing their seat belts.
