Hart man allegedly steals car, drives into lake.

HAMLIN TOWNSHIP — A 31-year-old Hart man was arrested for unlawfully driving away an automobile (UDAA)/car theft and second-offense driving while license suspended (DWLS) after Mason County sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene of a vehicle in the water at Wilson Hill Park on Barnhardt Road Thursday, Aug. 24, at 5:44 a.m., according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.
“Deputies arrived to find a 2006 Nissan passenger car partly submerged in Hamlin Lake,” Cole said. “The driver was arrested for DWLS second and UDAA after the owner was contacted and advised deputies the driver did not have permission to have his vehicle.”
