Mildred (Billie) Louella Jabrocki, 97, of Ludington, passed away on August 8, 2017 at Tendercare of Ludington.
Billie was born on June 16, 1920 in Scottville, the daughter of the late Harley and Anna (Anderson) Sprague. She attended Scottville area elementary schools and graduated from Ludington High School with the class of 1938.
She married Edward Stanley Jabrocki, Sr. on May 4, 1939 in Ludington. Billie and Edward moved to Chicago soon after marriage. They returned to Ludington in 1946. Together they owned and operated the Daisy May Pastry Shop for many years. She loved her job as a homemaker and adored her family. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Ludington. She loved her church. She also donated some of her time with the Mason County Garden Club and Art League. Billie’s hobbies included art, gardening, photography and traveling.
Billie is survived by her sons: Edward (Susan), Peter, Paul (Sheila) and David Jabrocki; 11 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren, and sister: Betty Lunde.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Robert Jabrocki; brother, Byron Sprague; and sister, Dorothy Barclay.
Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Ludington on Bryant Street. The family will receive friends and relatives for a visitation starting at 10 a.m. prior to the service. A private interment will take place at St. Mary’s Riverside in Custer at a later date.
