Obituary: Dawn Olson, 49, Ludington.
Dawn Louise Olson, 49, of Ludington, passed away peacefully at home.
Dawn was born on May 7, 1968, the daughter of the late Gary (Soupy) and Viola Mae (Chrisple) Olson. She attended Ludington High School and graduated with the class of 1986.
Dawn worked as a machine operator for Whitehall Industries since 2011. She was always ready for an adventure and loved to laugh. She spent her free time mushroom hunting, camping, floating the river, dancing and spending time with family; especially her grandsons. Dawn was a real spit-fire with a heart of gold, a mile-long smile, and blue eyes that would melt your heart.
Dawn will be truly missed by all who know and love her.
She is survived by her children: son, Mykel Dalton Horsley, daughter, Danyel Rebecca Horsley; sisters: Shelly (Jerry) Fisher, Terri L. Olson; brothers: Gary r. Olson Jr. and Mark E. Olson; grandsons: Daniel Horsley and James Biggin IV; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Richard Ernest Olson.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Dawn’s life will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Ludington, with visitation starting at 1 p.m. A pot-luck style luncheon will follow the service at the funeral home.
