BRANCH TOWNSHIP — The Mason County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the man who died in a motorcycle crash Sunday evening. Justin James Paulsen, 27, was pronounced dead at the scene after the 2001 Suzuki he was driving struck a deer on Decker Road west of Tyndall Road Sunday.
Paulsen is listed as a resident of Roseville, however it is believed he was residing in Mason County, according to Sheriff Kim Cole. He was traveling westbound on Decker Road when the crash occurred. A passerby discovered the crash about 8:10 p.m. Paulsen was wearing a helmet and speed was not indicated as a factor in the crash, Cole said.
Responding to the scene were Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Branch Township Fire Department, and Life EMS.
