Obituary: Clare Brasseur, 56, Scottville.
Clarence “Clare” Brasseur, 56, of Scottville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 23, 2017.
Clare was born on July 26, 1960 in Cadillac. He graduated from Cadillac High School and entered the workforce. At the time of his passing, Clare was a senior lineman for Charter Spectrum. He had a great work ethic and a passion for customer service, always making sure his customers were well served and happy. He cared very much about people and would literally give the shirt from his back to help someone. A prime example would be his passion for Toys for Tots where all his proceeds went from his garden stand for many years.
Clare was a proud member of the Sault Ste Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians and enjoyed woodworking, carpentry, shooting guns, and going to auctions and garage sales. Clare was an animal lover and rescued many fur balls and gave them a place to call home. And, as many of you know, he was an amazing chef.
Clare’s wife, Cheryl “Cheri” Brasseur will miss the love of her life. Also surviving Clare are his step-sons Joshua (Theresa) Henry and Nicholas Farhat; grandsons James Chase Henry and Joshua Mack Henry; and siblings: Kathy (Richard) Fordyce, Carl Brasseur, Deborah (Jim) Beeckman, Lisa Porteous, and Greg (Gina) Brasseur.
Clare’s mother, Theresa (Hudak) Brasseur, preceded him in death.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Ludington, with visitation starting at 10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the family, attn: Cheryl Brasseur.
