The following were recently arraigned in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

Felonies

Ferrell

-Luther Nicholas Ferrell, 72, of 3534 S. Masten Rd., Logan Township, was arrested July 4 by the Scottville Police Department (SPD) on felony charges of third-degree fleeing police, operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (OWI), reckless driving, and carrying a concealed weapon while under the influence. Preliminary hearing: July 26 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $7,500/10 percent.

Verboam-Odekirk

-Tia Lynn Verboam-Odekirk, 29, of 2928 N. Peterson Rd., Victory Township, was arrested June 6 by MCSO on a felony charge of stealing, taking, or removing financial transaction device. Preliminary hearing: July 26 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $5,000 personal recognizance.

Misdemeanors

-Bruce James Burton, 39, of 6409 N. Dennis Rd., Victory Township; July 5; MCSO; domestic violence. Pretrial: August 7 at 1:45 p.m. Bail: $3,500/10 percent.

-Donald Irvin Sayles, 30, of 5224 John Paul Dr., White Lake; July 4; MCSO; second-degree retail fraud (shoplifting). Pretrial: August 7 at 10 a.m. Bail: $3,500/10 percent.

-Isis Latrae Steward, 39, of 8076 Hemlock, Baldwin; June 3; Michigan State Police (MSP); OWI.  Pretrial: July 24 at 9:15 a.m. Bail: $2,500 personal recognizance.

-Jose Alberto Castanon, 49, of 524 Jackson Ave., Muskegon; July 4; MSP; OWI. Pretrial: August 14 at 10:30 a.m. Bail: $3,500/10 percent.

-Jason Hernandez, 34, of 8628 Ten Mile Rd., Bitley; July 4; Ludington Police Department (LPD); OWI. Pretrial: August 7 at 1:30 p.m. Bail: $3,500/10 percent.
